Revlon Run-Walk for Women's Cancer
Meditation-Visualization classes for Pittsburgh area gyn-onc patients
NOCC/Pittsburgh and Magee-Women's Hospital are sponsoring an evening
class that focuses on meditation and visualization. Karen Cooper will
teach the visualization focussing on the abdominal area.
Classes are free and will start at 6:30 PM in the 4th floor Womens Cancer
Clinic lobby. This will be an ongoing program, and available every other
Tuesday, beginning January 29, 2002 at 6:30 pm. You will be called in
the event of a cancellation due to snow or outside emergency.

January is the USA's National Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. EOTP's Focus on Cervical Cancer page lists all our cervical cancer resources and things you can to do stay informed about cervical cancer risk, detection, and treatment.

September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month in the USA
The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation has posters, brochures and other resources to help spread awareness of gynecologic cancer symtoms and diagnosis during September.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in the USA
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance sponsor events to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and advocate for additional research funds. EOTP's Focus on Ovarian Cancer page lists all our ovarian cancer resources and things you can to do to advocate for ovarian cancer awarness and better screening and treatment options.

Revlon Run/Walk For Womens Cancer
Revlon sponsors a Run/Walk in New York and Los Angeles. Although the
title is Revlon Run/Walk for Womens Cancer, only breast and
ovarian cancer is sponsored. Contact The Entertainment Industry Foundation
at (818) 760-7722 and ask them to include all womens cancers at
next year's Revlon Run/Walk. You can also contact The Davis Group, the
events management firm that handles the Run/Walk for Revlon at (310) 393-6344.
