| Description of group | DE NOCC's mission is to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and to promote education about the disease. By dispelling myths and misunderstandings the coalition is committed to improving the overall rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. Membership is free to anyone interested in raising awareness about ovarian cancer. Even though our group deals mainly with ovarian cancer, we welcome women with breast and other gyn cancers as well. DE NOCC provides informational speakers to women's groups, info at health fairs, raises awareness thru a Walk for the Whisper, etc. We are also extending our membership to Maryland and New Jersey residents since there are no chapters in those states at this time. Membership includes a newsletter from DE NOCC as well as a newsletter and info packet from the National office. |
