| Description of group | Together - A caring, loving and supportive place. --a wellness group for women with gynecological cancer. It provides an opportunity for you to share feelings and experiences with other women who have gynecological cancer.
Together support group members explore the healing process and provide a place where gynecological cancer patients can find emotional support and exchange practical information about cancer. Having something in common with other women makes is easier to talk and share similar experiences. Working through common feelings and frustrations with other women in the same circumstances helps participants speak openly and express emotions.
At the meeting, a health care professional provides information on current treatments and complementary therapies. Physicians also will be available to answer questions. Group participants are encouraged to share their experiences or feelings, or they may simply listen. |
